Hafs Ibn-Abi Ayisha says:
Hadhrat Imam Ja'far al Sadiq [a] sent his servant for some work. The man did not come back on time. So the Holy Imam [a] himself went out to find out what had happened to his servant.
The man was found sitting in a corner and had fallen into a deep sleep. The Holy Imam [a] sat down by him and began to fan him gently until he woke up.
Imam [a] then said:
"You should not go to sleep both at night and in daytime. You'd
better take the night for yourself; and be at our service in the
daytime."
